The first issue was that of being placed in a room with our two children that was directly above the wedding we attended. The band played until 1am and the sound carried through the floors. The staff at the Hey Green showed no interest in doing anything about this when we mentioned it the following day. We let it go because it was our friends' wedding and we didn't want to cause a scene.

A few days later however, we were accused in a letter by the Hey Green of taking a teddy bear, which they later admitted was an error. This did not stop them from taking the money for the bear and then refusing to give it back.

We had to go through the banking system to recover the money, some 2-3 months later after a long drawn out attempt to even speak to the hotel proprietor who refused to deal with us.

The hotel itself is very nice until you run into a problem and then the people at the very top of this privately owned hotel appear to have no interest in doing anything to help you.

There are places just as nice in the area with much better service. I would rather stay at a Travelinn. Avoid the Hey Green.
