I arrived at 3am after a 14hr Working Shift on a construction site. No one responded to the Buzzer. I spent nearly 45 minutes calling the hotel by phone and pressing the buzzer. I could hear the phone ringing from inside the "fish bowl" where I was. I could only assume the staff were asleep in one of the rooms or in somewhere where they could not hear. I gave up eventually and had to sleep in my van. At 7am I went in to the reception and complained like hell. The receptionist had just come on shift and was apologetic and refunded my stay, gave me a breakfast box, and offered me a room for a shower. Found out later I had still been charged for the Poor Breakfast box which I feel was a bit of an insult. Travelodge I can only suggest you give your staff mobile handsets and get them to carry them at all times. You were a total Failure for me Travelodge. I had to do another 14hour shift that day on 3 hours Van Sleep. I'm still tired as I type this. Fuming.More
