didnt get a warm welcome from staff our rooms were not ready so we signed in but was not offerd to wait in the Lounge but was told"if you come back at 14:30 your rooms should be ready"very cold greeting
the Hotel itself is very nice we had seaview with balconey
the rooms very well decorated crisp clean sheets
plenty of tea coffee and milk + biscuits in rooms
Room service stops at 20:45
Full english breakfast was fantastic nice Waitress very polite she smiled others could learn from her

The hotel was old fashioned and needed a refurb but I think the hotel played on this charm, as it was like going back in time! The room was small but adequate; the bathroom was OK but again old fasioned with a shower curtain over the bath. The car park was supposed to be shut at 11.30 but we arrived at 11.10 and it was padlocked. We then parked on the front and had to get a security guard to let us in and then the bar was shut! The breakfast was good, and very well presented, with lots of choice, and friendly staff. The best thing about the hotel was the residents lounge which overlooked the beach; you could order tea/coffee or sandwiches and sit there all day on leather settees facing large patio doors. I would say this hotel is ok but it is not very trendy!

My partner & i both in our 30's, have just returned from a fantastic weekend in Worthing, staying at the Beach Hotel for two nights. Now although we never spent much time in the hotel, i must commend the staff on the cleanliness of the hotel & the standards that they delivered.
However, I cannot help thinking there is an underlying sense of unhappiness in the waiting staff. They definately provided a rapid & efficient service but didn't seem happy at all.
The room was a double & was of a very good standard.
The food was superb.
Access for all is accounted for i.e lifts ,stairs & a ramp for wheelchairs to access the reception.
A car park at the rear has plenty of parking spaces but depending on how busy the hotel is, could make it a first come first serve basis.
Although situated on the sea front, access into the centre of Worthing is not a hinderance & is in a very short walking distance.
My partner & I have both agreed that we would definately stop at the Beach Hotel again without any hesitation.

The Beach Hotel

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Beach Hotel that included a weekend stop over. I had to book the Hotel at short notice and I hadn"t visited the area before which left me wondering if I would end up in a local Fawlty Towers. Nothing could have been further from the truth - the service was good and the Hotel was very clean and tidy with a reasonable standard of decor throughout.
I paid an extra £10 per night for a sea view which meant I had an excellent view of the Channel storms and the shipwrecked timber that was being removed by heavy plant equipment each day, however, the double glazing prevented any disturbances from the workings directly outside the Hotel. The place was popular with the over 70"s so don"t expect a party astmosphere in the bar area but I have to say that the facilities in the restaurant and bar are adequate and the prices are reasonable. Breakfast was good but make sure you make it very clear to the polish waitresses what you want,my order for beans on toast resulted in one small slice of toast with a handful of beans on it with the rest of the order missed off ! A small gripe I put down to translation difficulties. The reception staff were very helpful all be it the night porter gives the impression that he would rather be at home in bed than help with guest enquiries. I would recommend the Hotel if you need to stay in the Worthing area for a few nights.

The hotel met all our expectations. Our twin room with sea views was spotlesly clean. Tastfully decorated warm and comfortable.
The staff were friendly and the service was good. The free parking is a also a big asset to the Beach in an town with pay and display everywhere. The breakfast was very good but we did not have the opportunity to sample the food at the restaurant.
My wife and I are well travelled and experienced in staying at hotels in the uk and overseas preferably at the top end, the Beach we would rate as comfotable clean with friendly staff .
We shall be booking again when we come to see our relatives in Worthing.
