Our reception at this hotel was absolutely awful. The reception staff attitude was appalling to the extent that we decided not to stay but went instead to the hotel next door.

stayed here for a saturday night, when i had a quick weekend away with my wife.
the room we were given was nice, plenty of space.
bearing in mind its an old building, it was fine. we did not have dinner in the hotel so cannot comment, but the breakfast on sunday was great. cooked to order, hot and fresh, unlike a lot of hotels today who seem to prepare all in advance.
I was very suprised to find a 2* hotel with free wireless access
if i was to travel to worthing on business would stay here, the bar was pleasent, somewhere calm to have a nice beer, away from all the theme pubs in the town centre.

we have stayed in worthing before for a wedding and payed nearly £120 in a hotel 100 yards away from the cavendish and to be honest i think we were ripped off-we payed no way near that here and the double room we had at the cavendish was twice as big, the place is friendly and from what we gathered in the bar family run,there wasnt any room service but as we were going to a wedding it wasnt really needed and i suppose thats why we paid £120 last time somewhere else.Breakfast was absolutely brilliant although a little slow but i understand from the waitress they cook it all to order fresh.....the only quibble i would have was breakfast finished at 10am....we would have prefered later
Apart from that it was just what we needed.

finally found a hotel a long the seafront that doesnt charge the earth for a business traveller i have paid over double and triple what i paid hear and had a small box room in some of the "bigger seafront hotels",here i had a small double bed im my single room and plenty off room to move about.The food menu in the evening was a little limited but breakfast was excellent,i had a couple of drinks in the bar and a good nights sleep-just what i wanted and it didnt break the bank,would thoroughly recommend it to others.
