Very unimpressed. As the car pulled up to the hotel, it seemed like it would be a nice place. However, the lobby was not an indication for the hotel. My room was all the way in the back. By the way, for any prospective visitors who have trouble with stairs, there is no elevator and a lot walking to get to your rooms. The corridors have fading paint jobs and cracks. It was reminiscent of the Stephen King classic, The Shining.
The room smelled damp and had cracks all over. It looked like a hostel room. The picture given on the site for the rooms is not a good indication. Now, to the services, you are supposed to get free broadband service in your room, but the service did not work, they should take money off your bill for that.
With regards to food, there is very little to eat at the hotel, and frankly the fare is not so good or ridiculously over-priced. There are no vending macines to get something to drink. Even five star hotels have vending machines, it doesn't class down the facility at all. That is something they need. Furthermore, if you want to go and eat, you must walk at least ten minutes to get to the town centre. While ten minutes is not a problem for young people, the uneven and cracked roads, weird traffic patterns, and sloping streets, may make it difficult for less mobile guests of Weybridge. Additionally, unlike almost every hotel, and B&B, they don't have a listing of local restaurants or numbers to have food delivered; they don't even have hotel recommended restaurants.
With regards to the scenery, it's very nice, right on a golf course, but if you're only there for a night and get there when it's dark already, it's not something you really pay attention to or care about.
On the following morning, I was waiting for a car to take me for an interview. There were a number of others out there as well. Although we had all booked the cars with plenty of time to spare to get to our destinations, the taxis were supposedly stuck in traffic. But from what we could see, there was no traffic. When we asked the front desk to help us, they made calls to the company, but were not emphatic about getting the taxis here; frankly it seemed to be an inconvenience them to make the calls. Some people may have missed their appointments, and the hotel should share some responsibility as they recommended the times for taxis. The front desk, while helpful when you first check in, becomes less and less helpful and more irritable as your stay progresses.
Suffice to say, it's back away from things, on the golf course, but honestly, it's not worth the price, and is severely lacking in facilities expected in a supposedly luxurious hotel. Needs a lot of repair work. Would not stay there again.
