We stayed for 2 nights and played golf. The hotel was excellent, both the accommodation and the food. Both golf courses are a challenge and are well worth a visit. We will return again next year.

We had a mid week break in the Green Hotel with our 2 teenage sons. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a big double room which was very clean and comfortable, plenty of space and had a sitting area. Boys were in a twin room which also was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to give them their own space.
Food was excellent, both in Basil's Restaurant and in Jock's Bar although Jock's could get very busy in the evening.
Plenty of leisure facilities to keep everybody happy.
Would recommend a visit toKinross House Gardens. Although not in bloom when we visited still quite something.
Intend to return in the Summer

We arrived and were not impressed with the indifferent reception we received at reception. But this was nothing to the extreme disappointment on entering our "suite". A pleasant smell, tiny double bedroom, revolting stains on the carpet. How a family is supposed to stay there in any comfort is beyond me. The view from the window was a depressing flat roof with the usual cables and housings.
We were offered a larger room but without any provision for our son. So we went home!
This is really just a warning to any families looking to book the family suites - if you don't mind cramped scruffy hostel accommodation at hotel prices then go ahead but you have been warned.

We were looking for a short drive away hotel break and this was excellent. We had a family suite for ourselves and two kids aged 16 and 13. Staff were very friendly and chatty (but not overly so). Food was delicious in the Jocks bar and there was a good choice for breakfast.. Family suite was clean and amply furnished. The pool was excellent, large and clean and we had it all to ourselves. My husband and son played squash then we all had fun in the pool. There is a games room with a pool table which we again were fortunate to have to ourselves. On Sunday we drove through to St Andrews (about 45 minutes away) and had a wander around. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will return again.
