We stayed here on the first weekend in August. There were 20 of us on a cricket tour. The hotel is ideally located on the sea front and is within 2 minutes of the shops, arcades and bars. Having said this the rooms were quiet so you could get a good nights sleep.

The bar and food was excellent. The rooms were ok. One of our party upgraded to the Elizabeth suite and this was a very good standard. The other rooms were adequate and clean. We didn't have any dust problems that other reviewers have had.

We would recommend this hotel if you are in the area but not at more than £60 per room per night.

The outside of this hotel looked immaculate, the dining areas an reception did also.
It wasn't unitll i got to the rooms that we were disgusted, The two roms that we stayed in were covered in dust so thick you could write your name in it, the bedrooms smelt, the matress was soiled and smelt disgusting and to top it the window didnt even open to releive us a bit of the smell.
DO THEY CLEAN THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!One thing i can comment on is a young lady that was training her name was emma and she was the most pleasant helpfull young lady in the hotel for someone training i say very well done.
all i have left to say is to only stay in this hotel if you have NO other ALTERNATIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We organised a coach party of 47 to stay here for four nights. The staff were excellent and very helpful. We found it to be clean and the food, breakfast and evening meal, was well presented and plentiful. Although not a modern building, it was functional and we noticed some rooms being decorated. We had no complaints from any of our party and would stay here again. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

We Stayed the weekend at the hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful, first impression of the hotel was favourable it was not till we got to the room that things went down hill. As I laid on the bed looking up at the drapes over the bed they were full of dust and looked as if they had not been cleaned for years. there was a layer of dust on the tv which did not work too well anyway and in the corners of the room the carpet was full of dust, it was obvious that the cleaners hoovered the middle of the room and left the rest. breakfast was great, what a pity it was all let down with the state of the room

“Crap!”

We Stayed in the Abigail Suite for 1 night and found it to be filthy, the matress was soiled and the smell was bad (covered in stains!), the bathroom was filthy, the curtains were thick with dirt, carpets were disgusting, the lounge had a 2 seather couch which had holes in the upholstery and was dirty!
After complaining we were moved to the Elizabeth Suite for the rest of our stay which sadly was another 3 nights. The Elizabeth Suite was a slight improvement on the Abigail Suite, however the bed was hard and uncomfortable (so much so, I slept on the couch for our remaining 3 nights). The only thing I can say is staff and the assistant manageress were pleasant and helpfull.
I would never recommend anyone to stay here! On the whole we found our stay here unhygenic and it ruined our trip!
