firstly, i have to say that i am incredibly fussy! we turned up unannounced, and were found a spacious family room immediatly (double bed,2 singles, and room for our travel cot.) the en-suite bathroom was lovely, very clean, with a bath and a shower ,toiletries, and lots of lovely fluffy, fresh white towels. the bedroom was spacious and airy and also very clean. the beds were extremley comfortable.the whole hotel was really lovely,as were the owners and staff, we were made to feel really welcome and everyone was very friendly. i was with my mum,and my 2 year old son. the staff did everything they could to accomodate the baby, even setting him a special place at the breakfast table with his own little set of cutlery, which was a thoughtful touch. he was welcome everywhere in the hotel, and everyone took an interest in him,and seemed genuinly pleased to have him around the place, not everyone would be quite so accomodating towards a lively toddler! the television in our room wasn't working when we arrived.we told the barman, and he came up straight away.there was a problem with the ariel, but within 10 minutes he had it fixed, not only that but it was service with a smile all the way! the dining room overlooks the sea. it is both warm and welcoming, and has a really lovely feel to it. the first part of breakfast was help yourself, with cereals, fresh juices, grapefruit, muesli ,jams, marmalade and honey, fresh coffee, and as much hot toast and tea or coffee as you wanted brought to your table.after we had finished this part of our meal the waitress came to the table and cleared it,then our order for the cooked breakfast was taken. there was a good choice including amongst other things porridge, omlette, and the delicious full english which we all had,and absolutley enjoyed. they were only too happy to make adjustments to the breakfasts to suit our individual tastes. it was beautiful, and we were so full and satisfied afterwards that we didn't even eat lunch! unfortunatly, after breakfast we had to leave as our stay was over. to sum things up,this hotel is clean and comfortable, with beautiful food, friendly and helpful staff and a very warm welcome. i would reccomend it to anyone and will definatly be going there again in the near future,in fact i look forward to it. thankyou for a lovely stay.
