The Southern is like a home from home. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed every minute. The food was wonderful, with a great selection,
and Sally and Tony and the staff looked after us like royalty. I could not fault anything. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable, the bar was open till late, and there was entertainment on the night we stayed.

Without doubt the very best hotel I stayed at for a very long time. I will most definitely be making a return visit to enjoy the atmosphere at the Southern Hotel.

We would highly recommend the Southern Hotel in Great Yarmouth to anyone visiting the area, Yarmouth is a great base for the Norfolk Broads and only a couple miles from Suffolk. Tony and Sally the owners of the hotel go out or their way to make everyone feel welcome, we enjoy it so much that we have been going twice a year now for the last 7 or 8 years and this year will be no exception, Tony's home cooking is delicious and the full cooked breakfast sets us up lovely for the day and a relaxing time in the lounge at the end of the day rounds it all off nicely.
For us friendliness and cleanliness sums it all up.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years and would not go anywere else in Yarmouth. Whether I stay there on my own or whether it's with the family we always recieve first class teatment. We never fail to recieve a warm welcome from Sally, Tony and all the staff that help our stay first class. The hotel is beautifully presented, the cleanliness is of the highest standard and has an excellent menu with good home cooked food. Whether one wants a relaxing break or family holiday the Southern Hotel is certainly our first choice above all others. Thanks to Sally and Tony we always know where to go to get away from it all.
