We chose this guesthouse after seeing Sue Dodds on "Four in a Bed" and wanted to take our Jack Russell for a short break. From the first phone call until we left, she made us all ( especially the dog) feel like special guests. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and incredible value for money. NOTHING is too much trouble. When we asked if she minded us eating fish and chips in the room, she offered to provide crockery and cutlery! We went out to eat and left our dog in our room leaving our number in case he was distressed. She didn't want to disturb us so when we returned we found she had taken him into her own living quarters and was sitting with him in front of the fire and TV. He was so upset to leave and instantly fell in love with her.
Smoking and animals are allowed in the room but there is no evidence of this. No animal hairs and no smells of animals or smoke
The breakfast was cooked to order and great quality. She even gave our dog a sausage for his breakfast each day.
There are lots of little touches. Dog bowls and treats in the room, umbrellas, bags, sewing kits, indigestion tablets and the usual toiletries. A huge comfortable bed with lots of pillows and a large flat screen TV as standard.
I would advise anyone to stay as it's well located and Sue couldn't be more helpful or concerned to ensure that our needs were met.
She made a huge fuss of our dog when we arrived, gave him a cuddle and took his photo when we left. Seashells is a superb asset for dog owners and a hidden pearl in a town with so much competition.
