My girfriend and I (age 25) wanted a quiet weekend away from London in the New Forest, cycling and walking through the beautiful scenery.
After trying to book a couple of the "No.1's" according to Tripadvisor reviews (they we're full), we settled on Broadlands Gate - the Junior Suite.
Selected for it's price and proximity to the rail station (we didn't drive down), it seemed the right choice........and indeed we were right!
A beautiful house, set just on the edge of Brockenhurst (cycle and walking routes on the doorstep), with fantastic hosts.
John and Brian were very accommodating, providing a lovely two course breakfast (with excellent ingredients) consisting of fresh fruit salad, muesli, yoghurt, fresh orange juice, toast and jam, and of course, a full english breakfast! :-)
The house was big and in pristine condition with a lovely garden, in the Junior Suite we had ensuite room with bath/shower + WC and our own sitting room with Sky TV. They also offered us the use of their 'breakfast room' for a takeaway etc. Cleanliness was excellent.
Next time we're down to the new Forest, we shall definitely be visiting them again. Highly recommended!
