Just got back from the dene house, windermere after spending the May bank holiday weekend there..

IMPRESSED is the word im looking for..... i have stayed in a few guest houses in windermere but this is one of, if not the best i have stayed in, in windermere..

I stayed here with my girlfriend andwe had a double room with private bathroom/toilet and sink... this was not a problem at all, i admit that i normally go for the en-suite option but the way this room and bathroom was laid out was perfect, the bathroom was for our use only and was tastefully decorated as was the rest of Dene House.. our room was lovely, clean, and tastefully decorated in soft pastel colours and antique pine furniture that all went together lovely and made our room really homely aswell as classy..

DeneHouse is more like a hotel by the way that you are treat and the surroundings of the place, but without the hussle and bussle of a hotel and the lost personal touch..
Th owners of Dene House make you feel really welcome and cant do enough for you, thus ensuring that your stay with them is a pleasurable one.

Dene House is ideally located as it is about a 1 minute walk to the centre of Bowness where all the action is by the way of shops, bars and restaurants etc... and its only approximately 3 minutes to get to the lake itself.. now that is good..

Dene House has parking to the front of it, down its own private driveway away from the main road, again this is a god send... if you have been to Windermere at a peak time then you will know that parking is a nightmare, i was able to leave my car at Dene House and enjoy the pleasures of windermere without the worry of parking.

The breakfast at Dene House was gorgeous, you can tell that the owners only usethe finest ingredients in their cooking, this was nice to see, as i have sometimes stayed at places where corners are cut and the breakfast usually suffers with cheap bacon etc...
once again NOT at the Dene House... quality and fresh produce only... YUMMY!!!

If you are planning a trip to the lakes and you can get into Dene House then book it you will NOT be disappointed i assure you...
