“Dene House - a good find.”

My hubby and I have just enjoyed a few days at Dene House and I have to say that we both found the accommodation absolutely spot on. We arrived to be greeted by the owner with a glass of wine and some nibbles. Our room was first class, very spacious, tastefully decorated, and really clean. We also had the added bonus of a fridge in our room, together with wine glasses and cork screw. The breakfasts were very good, with lovely fresh produce and an excellent choice. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and will definitely stay there again.

Stayed at Denehouse in Feb. Have only just got to grips with posting on TA hence the lateness of report! Thought it was an excellent B&B and would have no hesitation in recommending it. It is in a very central location whilst also being very peaceful. Rooms were tastefully and neutrally decorated including brand new ensuite, plenty hot water and powerful shower, tv , radio and fridge. Breakfast was lovely, help yourself to unlimited fruit juice, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad and various cereals followed by fantastic full English that didn't have a trace of grease. thoroughly recommended. You're given a key so can come and go as you please. Would recommend Villa Postiano restaurant to eat in the evenings but book as soon as you get there or you won't get in!

“ABSOLUTE GEM”

We stayed end of Feb and i'm so glad we picked this place. I wanted somewhere that was chilled out and relaxing.

Denehouse was beautiful (we stayed in room 3) and the service was fantastic. During the last 20years i have travelled all over the world and stayed in some top hotels but i dont think the cleanliness in any of them has matched Denehouse. It was absolutely spotless. Full compliments to the proprietor who runs this beautiful place in a most unobstrusive way (you wouldnt even know they were there).

The brekkies were always plentiful and set you up for the day, with the added advantage of it only being a few minutes walk to the lake;shops and restaurants.

I would recommend it to anyone-again absolutely beautiful with lovely views.

Have just returned from a short but superb stay at Dene House. Everything about our stay was excellent, from the room through to breakfast. Can not fault any part of it. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and gave us details of a lovely walk where you could take in fantastic views of the Lake and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a first class, but very reasonable stay in the Lake District.

“Would definately recommend”

Dene House

19 Feb 2007

My partner and I stayed here on 13/14th Feb 2007.We wanted somewhere that was going to be quiet and relaxed.Somewhere we could just 'chill out' and we were not disappointed. We were served tea and freshly home made cherry yoghurt cake and biscuits on arrival. We were left alone to do our own thing and come and go as we pleased and found the staff to be pleasant.
Our room (no 2) was excellent.Clean, spacious and with everything you could possibly need. The small fridge was brilliant as we were able to chill our wine and enjoy when we wanted to. There were wine glasses and a cork screw provided.
The breakfasts were very good quality and plentiful. The location was really good also.About a 3minute walk had you at the lakeside. Very close to the shops, restaurants and pubs.
All in all we had a very good experience at Dene House and would highly recommend to all.
