We stayed at Bowden Farm Luxury B&B accommodation for two nights.
First of all, the location is fantastic ..... off the beaten track in the heart of North Devon. The house itself, part of a working farm, is charming and very inviting indeed. Downstairs is the large living room, with it's gorgeous log fire to keep you warm even on the coldest of nights. The Living room is exclusively for guests, and we had it to ourselves for the time we were there. The decor and the lighting is perfect to set a marvellous farmhouse ambience.
Our room was very spacious, and extremely comfortable. The Bathroom, complete with roll top bath was again very large, but retained the cosy feel.
The host of the house was more than accommodating, and went out of her way to feel you welcome, but was never obtrusive.
The breakfasts were plentiful and very well presented, and a choice of three types was available to suit your tastes. To be honest, if you had wanted something completely different, I'm sure she would have gone out of her way to try and get it !

The working farm is large, and you are quite welcome to have a wander around; a map of the immediate area is available. This location would be an ideal base for walking also.

Whatever you do, if you stay here, you must also take the Devon Cream Tea - absolutely beautuful !

There are a couple of local pubs, one which was closed for refurbishment while we were there, but the other, the Pyne Arms, was excellent with local beers & a mouthwatering menu, which we did sample. The food here was hot, plentiful and impressive. Complete with friendly locals, this is a must visit !

To sum up, this luxury guest house is an absolute gem; I thought long & hard about writing this review because we don't want it to get popular and us not be able to book next time around!
We will DEFINITELY stay here again ......
