A therapeutic 3 days in this magical place, well positioned for exploring castles, museums and wildlife.
Difficult to add to the superlatives from other reviewers, but Eileen and Oliver really deserve them !
Bedroom has en-suite shower room (great shower), kettle, tea, &tc and a hairdryer . Guests' sitting-room has a fridge, big table, tv, comfy chairs, lots of guide books to the area, plus the famous balcony with its lovely view. The Decor is perfect ----- high-quality, tasteful, simple but incredibly relaxing. Everything seems very new & spotlessly clean, but welcoming & friendly.
The garden is full of birds, especially finches & swallows, plus the resident family of red squirrels.
Breakfasts are luxurious : great porridge, lots of coffee, fruit compote, new-laid eggs from the resident hens, smoked haddock cooked to perfection, and home-made bread & preserves.
Sounds too good to be true ? One disappointment : strangely, we didn't see the fairies who
reputedly inhabit the Glen, but Eileen & Oliver more than make up for that with their own style
