What a great place! A long drive through beautiful country, with sheep walking across the road at every turn. When we arrived, we found a gorgeous stone house with white gingerbread trim. After we were shown to our room, we had a drink in the pub. It had a lengthy menu of Scotch Whiskey and local brews, which Tim was more than happy to explain to us. Dinner by Katherine was amazing. The fare ranged from rabbit in black pudding, bangers & mash, consisting of locally made sausages in a cheddar/potato mash, to a lamb steak in a wine sauce. After dinner, we returned to the pub to sample some of the local malts. Katherine's breakfast was equally amazing. Be sure to pick up some heather honey, which Katherine sells. All in all, a great visit.
