It's a charming hotel with excellent service and great food. It's tucked away up in the hills a bit further away than we expected, but the drive to the place in windy and pleasant, the view all around is greener than green and there's a small stream right next to the hotel, which adds a nice touch. I couldn't expect better service and wish I could stay there longer - the place had such a relaxing feel to it (espeically if you need a break from city life). I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel turned out to be much better than the modest B&B price suggested. Clean and spacious rooms, a pleasant view, and a good sized bathroom -with ample hot water. Breakfast very good, well cooked English (or Scottish?) grill. Good bar area with some comfortable settees and a very good dinner. Plenty of choices, from cheap and simple to the more exotic, well cooked and well presented.
The staff were also competent and friendly.
All in all, good value and to be recommended.

We stayed here for one night with 4 other couples in an annual get-together and all had a fabulous time. The staff were friendly and the owner could not have been more helpful. The food was very good and enjoyed by all. The service at dinner was excellent, considering we were in a party of 10. All plates went back empty! We stayed in room 1 which was a good sized room. The bathroom was larger than most with a full-sized bath and a over-bath shower which was hot and strong. The bar was warm and friendly and the little sitting room was great for our party. I think a number of us will make a return visit.

This was a lovely cosy hotel. The rooms were warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and extremely attentive. We had afternoon tea and dinner in the hotel and I have to say the food was fantastic especially the steaks. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was first class.

I would definitely recommend this as a weekend get-away.
