Stayed here on the night of the 28th November 2007 before an early moring flight out of heathrow the hotel was just what we needed we checked in without a hitch and was placed on the ground floor the room was an ok size ive stayed in smaller and i didnt have a problem with the heat of the room infact i had to turn the heating down as i was too hot.
We ordered room service which was quick warm and tasty
Check out was quick and evan at 3am we were greeted with a smile.
Our only issue were the transfer buses we had to wait nearly 2 hours at heathrow for one to the hotel and the one back to airport was half an hour late luckerly we had gone for the earlier bus other wise we could have had problems.

I have stayed at this hotel twice,first in Nov 2005 where I found no problems whatsoever,the second time in nov 2007.As anther reviewer has pointed out it was cold even though the air-con seemed fine.It was so uncomfortable I walked around in my woolly socks and cardigan and kept them on in bed! The lighting in the bathroom had one of the spotlights fading on and off,quite irrating when applying make-up.also the lamp by the bed flicked of twice.getting out of bed I always hit my head on the very sloped celling.Otherwise a nice hotel,but the cold made the stay quite unpleasant! Oh also the danish pastries at breakfast were so stale that you could hardly cut it with a knife.Also could not get no more than 5 tv stations,Wanted to watch the news/sport on the sat channels, pitures were none existant only station name apeared and a screen of black dots.Will be staying over for one night in late April..should be warmer then.

the room size was great but even though it was the middle of winter the room airconditioning was set full blast at 17C and wasn't able to be changed. i couldn't warm myself up with a hot shower as there was no hot water. service at reception was slow and my transfer to the hotel was via an employees private car on his way home from work which, for a young single girl, is slightly dangerous. after all this I was charged GPB120 for the night.

We stayed last Saturday night as part of a WA Shearings London Shopper weekend, daytime to be spent in London, an overnight stay near Heathrow Airport and the following day on to Oxford in order to do more shopping!

We paid an amazing £46 ea. for coach journey to London, transfer to the hotel, bed & breakfast and then Oxford and back home on Sunday, for that reason we weren't expecting too much of the hotel but it was absolutely great, would actually choose to stay here again!

Considering we were a coach load, checking in was done very quickly & efficiently, one receptionist checking the names off a list & the other handing out keys, all done in no time at all & our rooms were amazingly large, practically a ballroom, bathroom with bath, wall mounted toiletries, hairdryer, coffee/tea etc. everything you'd want with oodles of space too.

We chose to eat in the hotel that evening and the choice was vast and food was of a high quality, drinks at the bar not too expensive either so all in all a nice experience. We took our drinks to the large lounge area which contained two tv's and plenty of tables and chairs, nice comfy area to relax in.

Only slight negative was the breakfast the next day, lots of choice but not replenished quickly enough, eggs going cold before more bacon came out again etc. To be fair it was extremely busy when we went down but it could have been organised better.

We'll certainly be doing the Christmas Shopper again next year!

Oxford shopping the next day was spot on and a big thank you to WA Shearings and especially to our coach driver Ken, who very kindly dropped us at Knutsford Services, much closer to home, rather than having to go all the way back to Sale.
