I thought I would pop back in for a quick bite on my latest visit to Pickering, and a very warm welcome it was, not only by the staff but also the winter warmer menu - perfect!
They serve up freshly homemade produce sourced locally and not in small portions either! A very pleasant environment with friendly helpful, happy staff!
Clearly an ideal spot for cyclists and walkers alike what with the lovely garden to the rear and a stone floor inside.
I want to say 'try the soup' - the choice and smells from the kitchen made it tough to decide, but then there was a lot that I fancied, including the mocha cake which I resisted (this time)! I can't remember exactly what else was in the soup except for Oranges but OMG did it taste good!
One last thing to add, they have monthly theme nights, the next one (December) is for St Andrews Day, as well as monthly vegetarian nights - this caught my attention on the way in as they were fully booked 2 months ahead! It turns out the owner's veggie.
