“Gorgeous and comfortable B&B in Agrigento”

Terrazze di Montelusa Bed and Breakfast

Our family of 4 booked via hotel website a suite which was one bedroom, one living area with sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom. We arrived via car in the afternoon for 4 pm check-in and were assisted by Francesco with luggage and parking. The B&B is on the second/third floors of a lovely old buiding (there is another hotel on the first floor) The place is furnished to a very high standard (think 5* quality) and is kept spotlessly clean. We had two quiet and comfortable nights' rest. Francesco speaks English very well. He is very proud of his home and is also very helpful with area information if you desire. He even let me use his laptop to make online a last minute itinerary change. Breakfast (indoors or on lovely terrace with great view) was simple yet delicious. We took a bus to the valley of the temples and walked to nearby restaurants and other sites. Agrigento was a nice surprise as we did not know what to expect. The gardens near the temple were a real highlight and not to be missed. This is a fantastic B&B in a fascinating area. You will NOT be disappointed. I can't think of anything negative to say about Terrazze di Montelusa! If you come to Sicily, stay here if you can. My only recommendation for tourists arriving by car would be to park away from the B&B and walk to it if possible as parking in front is very (!) tight with limited availability. If you really want to save yourself some stress, avoid driving in Sicily totally :)

At New Years Eve we stayed here and we were very pleased by the interior, the comfort and the location of this B&B. Nearby all the highlights of Agrigento. It is located in a magificent, old but totally renewed building; the host is very friendly, talkative about (history etc.) of the region and warm. From the terraces beuatiful views. I can recommend this B&B to everyone.

“An Agrigento , Sicily Jewel !”

Terrazze di Montelusa Bed and Breakfast

Terrazze di Montelusa B&B is well located in the heart of Agrigento, with spacious rooms, and a delicious breakfast.!
No Elevator, but the wide marble stairway to the second floor is not a laborous climb . Ths was truly the only drawback.
We enjoyed this B&B and the proprietor, Mr. Francesco Foti was most helpful and friendly. He put us at ease from the moment we met. The room we chose was well appointed in gold and blue, spacious, and comfortable with a large adjoining bathroom with shower.
Breakfast consisted of a lovely array of Sicilian pastries, tea coffee, and various fruits.
The B&B terraces were nice areas to relax , take breakfast, or capture in photos the city below. The city begs to be photographed with the tiled rooftops and quaint church steeples nearby, as well as one of the lighted Greek ruins in the distance.
After staying in many other "important " hotels or B&Bs', we knew we had found a jewel, and a real buy!
We would stay here just for the experience even without the nudging of the lovely Greek ruins and the Museum this quaint , photogenic city boasts!
We met other travelers at the B&B who were happily returning for another visit!
We don't own stock in this place, just know a good buy when we see one from our many European travels!
I have yet to learn resizing of photos so you'll just have to take my word for this find!

“A B&B gem”

We stayed in this magnificently renovated B&B for two nights in October 2007. Host Francesco Foti went out of his way to provide helpful advice about places to see, places to eat, and routes to follow on our way forward. Francesco provides some of the best coffee in Sicily! Definitely a top place for the discerning tourist.

My girlfriend and were lucky enough to stay a night in the Terrazze di Monerlusa in Agrigento on our travels through Sicily. We stumbled upon it by chance while driving past looking for somewhere to stay. To our surprise it turned out to be the most awesome place we stayed in our entire month long trip of Italy! The whole experience was exceptional from the beautiful, large, high quality, sparkling clean rooms (and bathroom) to the ture welcoming friendliness of the host Francesco and his brother Alexander. Both could speak excellent English (even though Francesco professes not knowing much) and they were so genuinely happy to make us welcome and have us stay! They gave us great advice for finding local shops and excellent restaurants in Agrigento and even gave us awesome advice with our trip planning for other sights to see in Sicily. The building that the Bed and breakfast resides in is really very nice! It is Francesco and Alexanders old family home (Mansion) and it is loaded with style, charm and character! It is located in the historical centre of Agrigento (which is by far the nicest part of Agrigento) and it’s only a short 3 minute walk to the main street of town with its shops and restaurants. The building and its rooms have been fantastically renovated (only a year ago I think) in a lovely, stylish, elegant and simple way with traditional Sicilian elements and wooden furniture. The hallways even have Pictures of their family and the local area dating back several hundred years giving the whole place a lovely sense of history. If it was a hotel it would easily be five stars yet we found it amazingly good value for money paying only 70 euro (in the off season) for our large room (one nights stay including breakfast). It was all so good we just didn’t want to leave! The bed and breakfast has several rooftop terraces with spectacular views over the city and the sea where we enjoyed our lovely continental breakfast with yummy local traditional Sicilian pastries the next day. We were truly blown away with the genuine hospitality of Francesco and Alexander; they were both such lovely guys who just loved sharing their family home with their guests! The stay at their beautiful bed and breakfast helped make our time in Sicily something awesome to remember and I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone!
