I took a group of high school art students to this wonderful place. Not only did they receive us with open arms, they treated us like family. I have never experienced such wonderful service. The staff was professional at all times, making us all feel special and appreciated. The rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The second story rooms are especially nice. They are all animal lovers--the horses and dogs on the property are well-trained and lovely company. My students had lots to do--it is a great jumping off point for exploring the Etruscan roots of Tuscany. It is also 20 minutes from the most beautiful beaches. We NEVER had a problem with food--the chef asked me what the students liked and disliked and accommodated all food requests. The dinners were amazing, in fact the students were pleased that they were fixed menus as they ended up trying things they might not have ordered otherwise. I will return as often as I can--the owners were so friendly and caring. I miss them already!

This was our 4th trip to Tuscany; since our first visit in 2000, we've never considered staying anywhere but Montebelli. The grounds are spectacular; both peaceful and idyllic. The rooms are large and furnished very comfortably. Breakfast and dinner are included in your stay--both are incredible. The chef prepares dishes of the region nightly; we have never been disappointed by his selections. Alessandro graciously greets each dinner guest individually. He is more than happy to help with selections of his prize-winning wines to accompany the meal. We never leave without at least several bottles to take home and savor while planning our next visit to Montebelli. Grazie, Alessandro; we will return......

We stayed here as part of a group bicycle tour of Tuscany. The grounds were lovely, the service was gracious, our room was large and comfortable, the wine - produced on the grounds - was very very good and the food was excellent. I can highly recommend this spot.

My wife had kept a little article on Montebelli - she stores anything that can be remotely interesting or helpful - waiting for our first opportunity to travel back to Tuscany (our favourite summer destination).

We went there with our 1 year old daughter and felt immediately comfortable and welcomed. The nature and landscape were faboulus - especially the walks to the oak tree on top of the hill and the vineyards.
The food was excellent - we loved the idea that all the vegetable came from the farm - and the Fabula (organic) wine was superb.
The service was good - not a 5 star standard (which Montebelli is not) - but always very friendly and efficient.

The week went by too fast and our next trip to Tuscany - we'll definitively go back to Montebelli - seems too far away.
