This hotel is perfectly situated for the historic centre of Lecce, which is famous for its baroque architecture. It is now part of the Sheraton chain. This is a good thing because Sheraton have used a light touch in setting standards of service without destroying the Italian character of the hotel.

Our room was on the top floor and had its own roof terrace. The room wasn't huge, but the bathroom was equipped to Sheraton standards. Continental breakfast was very good, the cooked breakfast less so. There are many good restaurants in Lecce, so we did not eat in the hotel in the evening.

This is definitely the best place to stay in Lecce. Lecce is very difficult to drive around and the hotel's valet parking was a real plus.

We stayed in the Patria Palace for 3 nights on a recent trip to Puglia. Calling it a palace is a big stretch. The only thing royal about the place is the staff who think that they are the royalty having to deal with unwanted guests in their palace.

Our room overlooked a wall and was over the kitchen, so the smell of grease prevented us from even being able to open the window. The bathroom was poorly supplied and the water in the shower would turn scolding hot and burn you at least twice during the shower. The overall decor could be described as a 3 star hotel trying to look fancy, but coming off as tacky.

The staff were very unhelpful, and some, just plain rude. When I asked for some restaurant recommendations, the only advice they gave was "Our hotel has the best restaurant in Lecce". Period.

The only highlight was the free breakfast...it was delicious. Other than that, stay at a bed and breakfast for a more authentic experience at half the cost.

You cant beat the location and although clean and comfortable the rooms are rather small and the bathroom not great. However compared with others we stayed in in S Italy, it stands out as being the best. Parking was posisble in nearby garages, a real plus for Lecce.

Great choice for exploring Lecce. Upscale hotel with beautiful, well furnished rooms (bathroom is small). Excellent breakfast and restaurant. Best location in the city, across piazza from flamboyant St. Croce Church and near (via walking) all major sights. Garage available (valet) for 15 euros per night, reasonable in light of difficulty parking in Lecce city center. Somewhat difficult to access hotel with a car, with narrow alleys, a situation exacerbated by construction in the area - get good directions.
