Our room was in a wonderful position, overlooking the via Libertini where all the smart young things promenade and display themselves in the Italian manner and which we could watch from our bedroom. The much mirrored en-suite bathroom has a view of the glorious baroque church next door; as has the large balcony where guest take their breakfast under huge sun umbrellas. The owner, Renata, could not have been more charming or helpful with advice for example on where best to eat or indeed in helping us lug our luggage up the two sets of stairs as we are a bit on the elderly side. As you would expect, the place was spotlessly clean and everything working, including the internet. Free parking tucked away on the forecourt of the church!
If you come to Lecce because you love over-the-top baroque and exuberant Italians, Lecce, Renata and her B&B will not disappoint.
