We live in Northern Italy and took our parents on a tour of Puglia. We stayed at the Villa Giulliana B&B in Lecce for three nights. The rooms were very well done and modern with AC (if you need it). The grounds of the B&B are like an amazing garden. Our parents were so impressed we had picked a place just outside of Lecce that was like an oasis. We had a nice breakfast each morning overlooking the gorgeous garden. True vacation...Andrea the proprietor was so helpful, he helped us make the most of our trip. He recommeneded beaches, restaurants and great driving tours. My wife and I will go back for a gettaway weekend. Make sure you have a car, you'll want one anyway to see all the great coastline around southern Lecce. B&B is about 5 minutes outside of central Lecce.

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Giuliana B&B for two weeks during the Fall of 2006. We had a great time. The lush gardens filled with olive and fruit trees made our morning breakfast that much more enjoyable. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Our room was comfortable and the food was delicious. The Villa Giuliana B&B's affordability and the owner's English speaking skills makes this an excellent choice for any American traveling abroad.

We spent a wonderful week exploring Salento and each evening
we looked forward to coming back to our welcoming B&B.
Our rooms were clean and spacious. We could wander round the tranquil garden looking at all the many fruit and vegetable varieties and then enjoy watching the sun going down from the terrace.
Morning brought the delightful breakfast with home cooked pastries and cake. Home made marmalade and freshly picked figs.
We most appreciated the attentions of Andrea and Giuliana. They truly made our holiday.
We will be back.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Giuliana for 3 nights in May. We were warmly welcomed. As Andrea helped us get oriented to Lecce and the surroundings, his mother Giuliana presented us with a plate of luscious strawberries just picked from their garden. Our tastefully decorated room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom met a similarly high standard. In addition to the lovely garden, there was a table and chairs outside our room where we frequently sat and enjoyed conversations with Andrea. His mother is an excellent cook and we relished the different treats she prepared for us each morning. The atmosphere at Villa Giuliana is very relaxed. It truly felt like we were staying with friends.

As people traveling by car, we felt that Villa Giuliana was a better base for the region than Lecce proper. We had easy access to the city, but didn't have to worry about parking or traffic. It was very easy to get to Otranto (not to be missed), Santa Maria di Leuca, and Gallipoli. While excellent restaurants abound in Lecce, there is also a charming restaurant even closer to Villa Giuliana, the Locanda degli Artisti in Arnesano -- a completely authentic little town.
