We loved the Misia Resort!!! We only wish we had booked more time there. It is a lovely restored set of buildings near Orvieto. The owner, Georgio, has thought of every detail. The rooms are contemporary in design which is a lovely juxtaposition with the old buildings. There is a cozy lounge (with great design) where you can hang out and play board games or chat. The rooms are lovely too. The beds are very comfortable and we slept really well. The bed linens are wonderful and the bathroom has a rain shower head. There are beautiful hardwood floors (even in the bathroom) and high ceilings. We had a gorgeous view over the valley. The breakfast was very nice and there were delicious homemade cakes (one chocolate and one lemon) and excellent cappuccinos. The resort is up against a very large rock which has a staircase to the top which allows for 360 degree views over the countryside to Orvieto. It is a quick drive to Orvieto or to Civita Bagnoreggio for sightseeing, but who would want to leave such a marvelous hotel? It is also a great value. I highly recommend it!
