“Fantastic in every way”

We stayed in this hotel for the first five nights of our honeymoon and despite staying in other five star hotels for the remainder of the holiday nowhere came close in comparison. The views were amazing, the staff wonderfully friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and the room clean and comfortable with a fantastic terrace. The only slight drawback was the shuttle bus which could have done with being more frequent but apart from that we could not fault the hotel. We will definitely try to return one day.

Without a doubt the views from this hotel are outstanding and the setting is why its five star. However, with the exception of the night barman and a very few others the staff were unhelpful and sulky. The rooms are clean, if a little spartan, but there was very little storage space for clothes and no room safe. (I tried asking re safe at reception but the chap couldn't really be bothered to help and just pointed to the office, which was closed at the time) The restaurant was disappointing, lacking character. The evening food good but difficult to have a conversation over the loud humming of the air conditioning unit, breakfast was poor in comparison to other hotels in the area. I have never stayed in a hotel, let alone a five star, where there were no facitilites made available for guests to shower and change before leaving for a late flight. The room had to be vacated at 12 noon with only one of the toilets in the public areas being available for changing later so if one wanted to swim or sunbathe during the day it would mean travelling chlorine/salty/suntan lotion covered. Whats more we were made to feel a nuisance and stupid by the reception chap for even assuming that facitlities would be available. The shuttle bus to the town is on time but too infrequent, in the evening for example there is one at 6.30 pm and then nothing until 8.30 pm, so we walked down but got the shuttle back, and one can't be polite as there are always more people needing to get back than spaces! Finally BEWARE we parked our hire car at the hotel but at no point until the bill was presented were we advised that we would be charged 18 euro per day for parking. Although the setting is outstanding the hotel is spoilt by the poor attitude of the staff. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This is one of the best Hotels I have stayed at. The property is perched on the side of a cliff with rooms and suites and villas all the way down to the Private Beach. When we checked into our Jr. Suite, the porter opened the curtains and the view was absolutely like a drug....I couldn't stop looking at it....huge patio....the service is 5 Star no doubt....everyone made us feel like home....nothing was difficult even though I am hard to please...the private beach has a restaurant attached and you must have the fresh fish and the fresh pasta...every bite is heaven and the service is just amazing....very casual but highly professional....some Limoncello to finish it off and back to sun bathing....the breakfast is spectacular and the setting is again amazing....the shuttle into town runs every hour and we walked the distance once (45 min), but was worth it after a 5 course meal in the center of town. If you want to stay in the center and do not want to shuttle back and forth...don't stay here, if you want to enjoy all that the hotel has to offer.....stay here. The rates compared to other places in Italy are reasonable for what you get. Yes, the beds are a bit hard, but pretty much the view and the people here just more then make up the little negative....will return 100%

We just returned from 3 weeks in Italy including 5 nights at Le Agavi. The views are spectacular, the food is excellent and the service was impeccable. We travel extensively and have never had better service, including many so called 5 star hotels. Nothing was too much. Whatever the request, the only answer was "of course". Thanks to Raphael, Lucia, Leonardo, Girosue and the rest of the staff for making our stay picure perfect.

We spent three nights here on an extended family trip throughout Italy. What a view! Rooms were decorated beautifully, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Clean and immaculate.

We found the staff to be friendly and charming. Breakfast was superb.

Be sure to take the funicular and the elevator down to the beach. For some reason, many guests don't take the time to do so, and it is well worth it.

The hotel has courtesy shuttles for the 5 minute trip into town.

The bartender in the main lobby is a hoot!
