Our stay at the Palazzo Sasso was nothing short of extraordinary! We were there for one night on the 19th of May. The reception staff was friendly and attentive, without request they upgraded us to a wonderful sea view room with balcony. Ahhh, what a view! We never had any noise issues, our room and bath were first class...not one thing I can complain about regarding the hotel! I recommend it to all my friends and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! Breakfast is fabulous but beware of Rossillinis restaurant...the food was not very good and the prices were high (don't mind paying the price if the quality is in line, Rossillinis was not). I highly recommend eating in one of the local trattorias (we had lunch in the village and really wish we would have returned there for dinner, it was fabulous!) Ravello is a must see destination and Palazzo Sasso an experience everyone should have for at least one night!

“don't do it!!”

Palazzo Sasso

Recently got back from staying at all the top hotels in the amalfi coast. Palazzo Sasso was saved until last as the best but what a disappointment.

In truth the only really good thing about it was the michelin starred restaurant which was top.

Room was not as pictured and disappointing for c£500 per night. Room service didn't turn up. A/c didn't work. Food poor at lunch restaurant. Service indifferent. Hotel is on wrong side of mountain and therefore you are in shade from 3pm!! (and no sunsets). Attitudes from SOME of the staff. Buildings and communal areas attractive, but there's just something missing...

Much better places around; San Pietro gets my top vote from our whole stay. Get a room facing positano and then get a speedboat into Positano and have dinner at Le Sirenuse for a night you'll never forget.

Two years ago my husband and I stayed at the Palazzo Sasso for three days and loved it. We have just gotten home after returning and spending a full week there. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is the best I've found anywhere. On our second day there the hotel threw a party for the "Ravello Festival" which was amazing. It was a great funfilled evening with outstanding food, and it was evident that the staff was having just as much fun as the guests. If you like to be pampered while on vacation this is the place.

The location of this magnificent hotel could not be in a better town than Ravello. It is great fun to sit in the piazza at night and watch the people of Ravello interact with one another. It is a town seeped in history and the views are amazing.

My husband and I call Ravello and the Palazzo Sasso our happy place and we will return to this slice of heaven on earth.

While in the Amalfi Coast, do not miss Ravello and do not miss the Palazzo Sasso. Away from the hoards of tourists is the town of Ravello where you can relax in total peace and be pampered by the staff at the Pallazzo Sasso. While the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and has an amazing view, what sets this place apart is the staff. From the front desk staff to the maids, you are always greeted with a smile and they do everything to make you feel at home. You can sing with Tommasso (piano player, buy his cd) while sipping perfectly made drinks from Stefano (try the Amalfi Dream, Chocolate Martini, Green Sunshine). Vittorio and Flora never seem to take a smile off their faces and these people will become your new best friends away from home. As for the rooms, pay the extra money for a sea view room, it is worth it. As for transportation, go into the town square and get taxis there, cheaper than the hotel's transportation. Bottomline, go to the Palazzo Sasso, you will never forget the experience.

We have just spent 5 days in Ravello at the Palazzo Sasso. Fantastic location, wonderful views, beautiful hotel, faultless service by friendly staff who were helpful at all times - what more can you want. We have stayed in 5* hotels in many parts of the world and this is just about the best. The food in the restaurant was wonderfully presented and absolutely delicious.

I would recommend Palazzo Sasso to anyone wanting a peaceful break in a classy hotel in this part of Italy.
