Stayed at the Grand Hotel Liberty for New Year, situated on a main road leading out of the resort, which in the summer would be noisy. We had rooms in the block behind the main hotel facade and they were quite quiet, rooms a liitle dated but clean plenty of hot water and heating. The restaurant menu was chosen the day before and was excellent, we had 1 Gala dinner with no choice, but there was no problem changing menu for those people who had allergies etc to certain foods. The new year dinner was fantastic, wine were excellent staring at 9euro for house wine . The staff were extremely helpful ,waiters charming and could not do enough to ensure your stay was excellent. The gym and swimming pool area immaculate fresh fruit, bottled water on hand free to help yourself. The hotel was a few minute walk from the old town centre and lakeside walk., A small supermarket was near the hotel were we purchased water and prosecco. The fireworks on New Years eve were brilliant 20 minutes long and all the local people were out to enjoy them. Would recommend it for a stay.
