I am an expat living in Italy. I stayed here for 187 days in Italy in 2011 while working out housing for my permanent stay. I found this to be a tremendous value, especially if you are willing to bend a little bit on the "extras" that other hotels have that don't add much except cost.
The hotel is laid out wide and low, and sits on a huge amount of property (by European standards). if you have children, there is a lot of space for them to play in the grass. The nearby village of Capolago has a few restaurants, and the Roadhouse Grill is always across the street.
For business travelers, it is nearly ideal. Good internet access, low price, comfortable beds, and a good breakfast in the morning. I would gladly recommend it for vacationers as well.
