I stayed with my daughter Melina for a second time inthis hotel and we are very enjoyed .Nicki and his family are lovely and helpful.He goes to the port wih his mini bus at the boat's arrival and departureand during your stay if you got a problem ( no walking , ill , tired ) .He takes you away with pleasure He's always smiling .His wife and his mother prepare breakfast , small plates ( greek salads , omelets , club sandwiches , yohurt with honey , chips , frappe , etc... ) and you can eat near the pool ,on the terrace or in your room .His father gardens and does jobbs .
The large pool is for adults and young children .
The rooms are spacious , well equipped ( shower , fridge , tv , AC )with a wiev on pool , garden , hill ,sea (far away ).The hotel is situated in Kampos valley at 700m from Yalos port but isn't a problem the path is very easy and pleasant .Our stay was quiet in a family athmosphere .Nicki and his wife Lisa are totaly bilingual ( greek and english ) and their young daughter too ( marvellous blue eyes !!! ).
We recommend with pleasure and no hesitation the Brother's hotel and will almost return here .

after a boat delay I felt tired and I discover a quiet hotel with very kind and professional owner : nicki giving me all the necessary informations for finding nice beaches, good restaurants, transportation by bus.
the swimming pool is very usefull after a long day spent on a beach.
room is large with a balconny.

This husband/wife run hotel is a ten minute walk from the port on Ios Island. With its rural setting you can enjoy views of the wild hills and the donkeys in the farmer’s fields. Bougainvillea and vines cover the front of the white and blue hotel façade. Rooms are clean and basic and most have a balcony. The pool area and snack bar are a peaceful place for sun and swim. A 15 minute walk up the hill takes you to the town of Hora for a wild night out or dinner and drinks among meandering alleys. The husband/wife team is extremely friendly and were tremendously helpful when our ferry was cancelled. The Brother’s Hotel is a must.

We chose Ios this year as the first port of call for our holiday as (a) we could get there easily from Pireaus (b) there's daily boats to Naxos and (c) its just about the only island this way we have not visited.

We selected the hotel as we wanted somewhere that we could be fairly confident would be quiet at night - we were travelling with a two year old so we did not want to be in amongst the discos, but also obviously not somewhere miles from anywhere. The other main reason we chose to stay here was price.

The hotel itself is located just down the road - about a ten minute walk with a pushchair - from a good, sandy beach (which seemed to be used more by locals rather than tourists when we visited) which is itself a couple of minutes from the island port. The beach, port and its environs has a number of decent eating places, so in the end, we never found it necessary to venture up the hill into the main village for either food or entertainment. As a bonus, the buses to the beaches start off in the port, which means you always get a seat, before the masses get on in town!

The room we had contained cooking facilities, as well as air con, telly (with some English language channels) and a balcony, and was spacious, even with a cot added into the room. However, the best part of the hotel was the swimming pool (we rarely stay in hotels with pools as they are often out of our budget) which was a decent size (and depth!) - with a separate bit for the kids with plenty of sunloungers around it.

In general, this is a great family run hotel in a quiet location, but still convenient for a decent number of local restaurants, as well as the buses, beach boats and ferries. As other reviewers have stated, Niki and his family cannot do enough to help - he even sorted out my ferry tickets so we could pick them up in Pireaus - and is extremely knowledgable about all things Ios for example, where to go, where to eat and so on.

We will almost certainly return here in future summers, and have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel.
