We spent a week here 8th - 15th Sept 2012 in a mobile home.
First thoughts on staying at this time of year is that its all closing down as its the end of the summer season, the shop had the basics, plus a few things you will need, a pan scourer, washing up liquid, bin bags to name a few. Oh and beer and wine so the esentials were covered.
Site was clean and tidy, so was the mobile home, but if you were staying on site every day I think it would drive you mad as there isnt much to do.
We decided to explore local towns and points of interest so I cant comment on the pool as we didnt go. The bar is massive but its soulless, basically a big room with a stage and a bar at one end we went once and that was enough for us.
Its a good base for your holiday if your touring, a massive drive from Calais, so I would consider using a closer crossing next time, but it came in our deal so no choice. Both the Saturdays were used up in travelling to and from the port and the biggest cost of the whole holiday was petrol.
We were very lucky with the weather is was great, rained one day and a couple of times in the evening which helped. Having said that the evenings/nights were cold so a fleecy is a requirement at this time of year.
