Stayed at the end of a Cosmos tours. All the other hotels were fine except this final hotel. Poor location far from Paris. Not convenient for the airport. Metro is 8 to 10 minutes away. Only saw a gas station and one not so good bakery on my way to metro. Poorer suburban area. Factories with smoke stacks near by this hotel. Rat infestation problem in area when we visited and they were carrying out extermination. Dishes and cutlery not clean for the included breakfast with our Cosmos tour. Room was scarey. Foul odor coming from bathroom - I think from the toilet - and I had to keep the bathroom door closed otherwise I would have gagged and wouldn't have been able to sleep. Walls paper thin and I could hear the person next door moving around. I didn't interact with front desk but others that did said they were not so friendly. Poor end and bad impression at the end of a Cosmos tour. Don't ever come to stay here. It will spoil your impression of Paris. There is no charm at this hotel or location. Not sure I would ever travel again with Cosmos based on their choice of this hotel in spite of I am sure negative feedbacks in the past about this hotel. I would go with a more expensive tour company or plan my own tour and accommodations.

We had real difficulty finding this hotel - a sat nav would have probably helped. We arrived late very tired and weary. We went up to our room and were greeted with the overwhelming stench of stale cigarette smoke despite the fact that the Kyriad was supposed to be a Non-smoking hotel. I complained to the night receptionist who shrugged and suggested I opened the window (it was 10.30pm, we had 2 children and were right next to the motorway!). On closer inspection the bed linen was less than clean, one sheet was ripped, the pillows were useless and there were some odd red stains on the bathroom and bedroom walls. The room and bathroom were very dated and sparsely furnished. We felt miserable! We stayed 2 nights and had found a very competitive online deal which made it more bearable but there is no excuse for the lack of cleanliness and freshness. The breakfast was good but quite expensive (esp considering the very poor exchange rate). The metro was convieniently found 10 mins away. The daytime receptionist was very helpful (unlike the evening one). All in all however we would not return.

I spent 5 nights at the Kyriad in March, 2008. This was part of a Contiki Tour.

The Kyriad is so far out of Paris, The Gideon’s haven’t even ventured out there to stick a bible in the bedside drawers. The hotel is about 20 mins from the centre of town via the metro. There are two metro stops within walking distance from the hotel. A taxi from central Paris cost around 20 euro. Positively, there was a post office, pharmacist, supermarket and several restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel.

I stayed as a single, in a room with a double bed. You couldn’t swing a tiger in the room, but you could comfortably swing a cat! I had enough room for my luggage and shopping. From my room I had a lovely view of a freeway, a power station and some local ‘street art’.

Bed was average. Actually, it was below average. Pillows were naff too. The room had air-conditioning and heating. There were no problems with room temperatures. I had a tv, but the scumbags who stayed there before me stole the batteries from the remote. I couldn’t be bothered asking the staff to fix it! Bathroom was good and very clean. One tip, my shower had mirrors (very 70s porn!!!). If you don’t want to see the damage of Parisian food, I suggest letting the shower steam up a little. Worry about the crepe damage once you get back home.

Do you want to know the most redeeming feature about my room? Free Internet!! It worked well and was simple!

I actually found the staff to be quite pleasant and helpful. They assisted me with directions and with a request for wireless internet and were happy to speak in English and would offer to do so.

Breakfast was fabulous. You cannot deny the awesomeness of pastry and nutella!

Also the lobby/bar staff were great. Perhaps try speaking some basic French with the staff, after all you are in France!

To be honest, Kyriad exceeded my expectations. I wasn’t expecting a lot and I left with a lot of great memories from a pleasant stay!

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Trafalgar Tour. Surely there's better accommodation than the Kyriad to introduce you to the most romantic city?!?!

With 2 adults and 2 large suitcases, it doesn't leave you much space to walk around. With wooden bases for the beds, my sister and I gained numerous bruises on our legs whilst jumping over our cases to use the bathroom or answer the door. Some other members of our family had 3 adults in a room and there was less space there.

We found the staff quite rude and unfriendly. Whilst sitting in the bar area, it remained unattended for a good 15 minutes before someone came to serve us.

The other drawback is that the hotel isn't close to any of Paris' major attractions. We had no choice but to go back on the bus at the end of our excursion as some of us would've preferred to have stayed back so we could explore Paris at night.

The only good thing about this hotel was the buffet breakfast spread. Good variety to choose from.
