Just wanted to post that I stayed at the IBIS CDG Terminal Hotel for one night on April 15, 2006. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room was acceptable. The window was locked and I had to have the maintenance man come up to unlock it as the room was horribly hot. That was no big deal. Once opened, the plane noise was pretty bad, but the cool air was perfect. The hotel is a two star hotel, so there was no fridge mini bar or coffee/tea making, no air conditioning (if you are there in summer), but the room was clean and the bathroom, though small - it was very clean and there was a small soap bar and shampoo.

The problem - NOISE. It was so noisy ALL NIGHT LONG. I realize this is an airport hotel and therefore people must arrive at all hours of the day and night. However, there behavior in the hallways and rooms was so loud I got no sleep at all. The rooms don't appear to be soundproof as I could hear my neighbors sneeze - and talk, etc. What really bothered me was the yelling and running in the hallways after midnight. Children screaming their conversations, doors slamming. It really was awful.

If you plan to stay at an airport hotel - and if you wish to get any sleep, you might want to consider another hotel. We did stay a previous time at the IBIS about 7 kms away from the terminal. It was a 3 star I think and the room was considerable cheaper, cleaner, larger and QUIET. We took the navette from the terminal. That is where I will stay for future trips. The Terminal hotel was a nightmare - literally.

Very efficient functional hotel. I made an overnight on the airport and for that it was very good. However... In al its efficiency it offers you a cell (better word for it then room), in which you'll definitely feel alone on your business trip. But if you want no-nonsense at the airport it'll be just the place for you.
A nice anecdote though: I couldn't open my window whilst my room (ehh.. cell) was very dry and hot. Made it even feel more like a prison. So I called the reception who promptly send up the 'repairman' who was in fact the security guard (oh irony). He janked open the window at full force, holding the handle in his hand. But he had done the job alright... (the window wouldn't close anymore, and I had to use my bag for that)

Ideal if you have an early flight, this hotel is directly connected to the RER B Aeroport Ch de Gaulle 1 station. Transfer to terminals are by big ADP bus (i.e. shuttles run by the airport authority, not the hotel) which ran efficiently. I think the only more convenient hotel for CDG would be the Sheraton which is directly connected to terminal 2.

There was a lot of renovation going on in the public area. We had a small room in the older-looking tower, but the room was modernised, clean, and very brightly lit (very important if you are trying to wake up fully and pack early in the morning!) Can't really ask for more from an airport hotel.

After traveling through France for 20 days (7 different hotels), my family stayed at this hotel for one night before flying home the next day. Up until this hotel, our trip was very pleasant, with friendly service and good accommodations everywhere. Four problems occurred at this hotel.

1. We had book a room for my wife and I and our child. The website and email confirmation said a child under 12 stays free with their parents. However when checking in, we were told that only 2 people regardless of age could share a room, and we were forced to purchase 2 rooms, thereby doubling the price.

2. The service at the restaurant was very poor: a really incompetent waiter, which is highly unusually for France. Our bill was completely messed up: 25 Euros more than it should be. After a very long ‘discussion’ with the manager, the hotel ungraciously corrected the mistakes (the bill was still 5 Euros too high, but I was exhausted at that point.)

3. One of our rooms had a stench.

4. The next morning catching the shuttle to the airport was truly a mob scene, bordering on being dangerous. We waited about 35 minutes for the shuttle (it is supposed to come every 15 minutes). During this time, a large crowd of about 40 people formed. Everyone seemed to be worried about missing their flight. When the small shuttle finally arrived, the pushing and shoving was very severe, and we did not get on to the shuttle even though we had been waiting longer than anyone else. 25 minutes later the next shuttle came. We had learned our lesson, and vigorously fought our way onto the shuttle. This was a terrible experience.

There are many other hotels in the Roissy area near that airport that have large shuttles running frequently. We saw them go by as we waited for ours. Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are there along with about a dozen other hotels. I would strongly advise that you consider these alternatives.
