I stayed here by accident due to French motorways being completely blocked on a Public Holiday. We had been planning to visit Céret, so it seemed a good idea to stop there for the night rather than take hours to get home. the Hotel is right in the centre of the pretty medieval old town as you drive in. It is typical of old, established small town French hotels except that there is a very interesting collection of modern art in the public areas. Lacking any architectural interest whatsoever, with a warren of corridors & the strangest room numbering system, it doesn't ooze with charm. The room was small but adequate with shower & TV. The twin beds were comfortable & the linen clean. The continental breakfast (7,50€) was surprsingly good, with warm croissants & fresh cherries. The service was off-hand French. If I had booked in advance, perhaps they would have been more welcoming. I would consider staying again simply because of its location in the old town of Céret - everything is within walking distance & there is a free car park 5 minutes' from the hotel. Céret is only 10kms from the Spanish border & has a very interesting Museum of Modern Art.
