We stayed at the Terril Blanc from 25th Jan for a week. The reason I've come on here to write a review was because if I had taken the previous reviews as gospel I would not have stayed here.
The location was perfect for us, a short walk down the road to the local spar and the pubs etc, the view out onto Tignes frozen lake was breathtaking.
The staff. I cannot praise them highly enough. Young, enthusiastic, friendly and attentive. They worked very hard and accomodated all of our requests for special dietary requirements.
The food. Never would I imagine such a creative, well presented, imaginative and tasty menu. We paid for a 3 star chalet and the food was above all our expected standards.
The room was comfortable and it was cleaned every day, even accomodating us when we had been out the night before and were not so quick off the mark to the lifts in the morning.
The hotel needs a bit of updating, but the only thing I really noticed was that the room doors needed replacing. The decor itself was fine.
I went to this hotel as a party of 3 adults but I cannot wait to take my two children there next year. They would love it! There is a really lovely family atmousphere at the hotel and the staff go to great efforts to help you to mingle with other families, like rotating the place settings at dinner so you ate with different people each night. The staff made such a lovely fuss of the kids that I felt very homesick for mine!
Terril Blanc, I look forward to seeing you in 2010!
