The plus is that the Hotel is centrally located in the old town and the breakfast is decent BUT the downsides are: the employees looked, behaved like they were seriously overworked; the rooms are tiny and ours had bloodstains all over the walls (looks like our predecessor's also did not get a good nights sleep and spent their time killing mosquitos....) there were also blood stains on the chair, on the information booklet etc.; the room was generally quite dirty with cobwebs and dust piles everywhere; the bathroom was smelly (sewer smell) and it was unbearably hot so we had to sleep with the windows open but because located in the centre it was very noisy....making it difficult to get some sleep. There was absolutely no reaction of the receptionist at checkout after having complained about the situation....the family in front of us had also complained but almost the same things...but also here, no reaction. The price we paid for the room and the service absolutely did not match!!

Travel to Konstanz annually and first time at this hotel after having stayed at two of their sister hotels previously. Well, Konstanz is just beautiful, and the 4 or 5 times I've been there have always been good accom. It's clean and modern in a traditional building. Centrally located, lots of great restaurants, cafes, bars nearby. We had an amazing steak at a steak restaurant nearby. Didn't eat at the hotel but it looked good. Breakfast simple and pleasant. No air con so it does get v hot in high summer, take mosi spray for sure, espesh if your out in the evening and going to be taking the ferry over the lake. Enjoy and p.s. the other two in the chain are also good hotels.

This is a delightful old hotel with a great location right next to the old part of town. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and modern. The restaurant has character and there is a comfortable lounge for a drink, as well as a small sitting area outside. Recommended.

I stayed here as a single traveller on business. My room faced the small street (might have had the 'elevator blick' but I asked to see the rooms first) and was quiet even in the day. Room was small but sufficient, bathroom too, all updated with nice furniture, the whole package worked very well for living and working. Internet fine, stable, fast enough.

Breakfast was not as nice as some places - a smaller selection of meat, 'schnitte' accoutrments, eggs, fruit, etc. but maybe I am spoiled from a trip north. Staff was very neutral but is this also a local thing? Price was reasonable, 80Euro per night with breakfast.

Location is perfect for the altstadt.

I'd come back.

Room tip: Face the small street, not the elevator or the Untere Laube.

As was usual on our trip, we drove late and got into Konstanz late. After driving between Switzerland and Germany (the border seems to be right in the middle of town) a couple times and being unable to drive up the pedestrian walks, we found Hotel Graf Zeppelin. The hotel was quaint on the outside and equally nice on the inside. The rooms had everything we needed for our short stay. There is free WiFi, but connectivity varied depending on where in the hotel ones room is. The included breakfast was exceptional and the staff very accommodating. The only problem we had was getting a parking ticket even though the pay parking machine was broken. Parking could be a problem depending on what time one arrives in the city, but that's pretty much the same in every European city. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
