The Ibis budget sits next door to the real Ibis and on the two occasions that I have stayed there I have had to check in at the other hotel. Unfortunately this lets you see what you are missing before you are directed to the poor end of the building. The room however was clean and the flat screen tv was good. The bathroom was very basic with a plastic loo of the non lifting seat variety and the shower had no door or curtain resulting in water everywhere. Both functioned as they should however.
I suppose you get what you pay for and as such I had no grounds for complaint.
We also opted for the budget breakfast which again was nothing like the hotel next door but included the usual bread, croissant cheese jam etc.
Next time I will pay the extra 40 euros or whatever and go for the non budget Ibis.

Ibis budget rooms remind me of student accommodation - the room was clean but very basic. There is a TV but all the channels are French. There are no hairdryers so remember to bring your own. In this Ibis budget the toilet, sink and shower were all in one room which is good (many have a separate shower cubicle and a toilet cubicle and the sink in the room which is annoying) however it was impossible to shower without absolutely flooding the bathroom floor as the shower panel did not reach far enough along. Towels are provided but they are quite small. There was free wifi which was easy to connect to. The hotel was easy to find and there was a nice looking restaurant just opposite and plenty of parking. OK for a stopover but would not pay more than about 35 euros to stay here given how basic the rooms are. However, for the type of hotel, it was very good as it did what it said on the tin.
