Just before returning to California, I stayed two enjoyable nights at South Penarth B&B. I am a conservation architect, who enjoys heritage tourism and historic B&Bs. The location was perfect for walking to downtown Truro for dining and shopping and for looking at the historic sites and visiting museums. My first floor south facing ensute room was very commodious. The bathroom was also very ample, actually luxurious, with double lavatories and separate tub and shower. The juxtaposition of modern art and modern fixtures and amenities in the historic rooms with large south facing window made my last two nights in Cornwall very memorable. Judy and Christopher are excellent, gracious hosts. The breakfasts are fine, and the coffee excellent. The afternoon fresh-out-of-the-oven biscuits are special treat. I did walk the pleasant mile or so country lane from South Penarth B&B to St. Clement parish church and village on an estuary. The site is said have been a Roman settlement. There is so much to see and to enjoy in easy walking distance from the wonderful South Penarth B&B.
