I have just returned home after spending a lovely week at Herriots Hotel. I had always wanted to go to that area of Yorkshire and was thrilled to find a hotel as good as Herriots. The staff were so warm and friendly and genuinely cared about your stay. The rooms were magnificant and the standards of cleanliness were exceptional.

Breakfast was included in the price (which was very reasonable) and I must say it set me up for the day very well! A good hearty Yorkshire breakkie! After my travels out and around Skipton area it was a pleasure to return to such a comfortable Hotel and the last thing on our minds was to go out looking for a meal so it was lovely to eat in the Hotel's resturant! I strongly recommend the bolton abbey local lamb ! Finished off with a chilled glass of vino in the bar !

A wonderful Hotel with amazing staff who were genuinely thoughtful! I cant wait to return and bring my friends too!

With a fantastic room, friendly staff, out of this world food and pleasant atmosphere I really couldn't have asked for anymore from this hotel.
Upon arrival, the friendly receptionist checked us in and the manager who was passing introduced herself and ensured us that if we needed anything then we were to ask! You never seem to see managers when staying in hotels but both Dave and Viv were always around and were never too busy to talk to us and check we were having a relaxing stay. They were keen to know where we had visited and recommened plenty of other places to go.
The food both in the evening and at breakfast was fantastic. The portion sizes were exactly right and meant I had room for a dessert, and im so glad I did! This keep me satisfied each night until breakfast time where our full english was cooked to order!
All in all, a fantastic hotel and surrounding area, weve booked again for July!

Really great hotel, good atmosphere, friendly staff, especially the Manager and Manageress. Food excellent, would recommend to anyone. Lovely location, plenty to see and the Skipton weekend offer was very good value for money.

Well maybe I'm exaggerating a little but it was a very enjoyable experience never the less! We stayed there recently and what a pleasure it was.

My husband and I were greeted at the reception by Dave who was very polite and courteous, he could not do enough for us. He checked us in and enquired if there was anything above and beyond that he could do for us ! We had chosen one of the rooms on the newer side looking out on to the canal, and it was beautiful looking out over the canal and the hills from our very own balcony. The room was well stock with everything I expected, although the biscuits were a little on the small side, but I'm a little fussy about my biscuits. We chose to dine at the Hotel at lunch time and we had a delightful meal. It was just a shame we were visiting friends in the evening as I would have loved to see if it was as good second time round. I n the morning we arose bright and early to find our paper outside our door, it was almost like being at home. We arrived in the restaurant for breakfast and were greeted with a lovely cooked breakfast. The waitress was not overly attentive but I felt like she was never too far away if I needed something. Overall I found the hotel a very pleasant place to stay, with friendly staff, good food and very comfortable rooms. We both plan on going back there very soon for a much longer stay!
