Stayed for 1 night over May Bank Holiday. The Buck Inn is a bit 'chinzy' and dated, but hey ! at £77 for double room and two good breakfasts thrown in, we thought it was good value. Dinner (of one course by our choice) was about £20 for 2 ,+ wine and was of a good pub food standard. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, but also efficient. I travel all over Europe in my job and feel qualified to say that this Inn does not perport to be a 5 star Hotel, but certainly is a decent, reasonably priced, well sited pub / hotel. The rest is up to you, get out and enjoy the surroundings !!! ( n.b. Timothy Taylors 'Landlord ale' is a terrific pint )
