“Bring in the New Year!!!!!!!!!!Agreat find!!!!!!!!!!!”

Gamekeeper's Inn

23 Feb 2008

We stayed New Years Eve,and arranged a table for two for evening meal. The evening was really great, better than we expected, and began with champagne,an excellent meal and then dancing the night away.It was a lovely party atmosphere. The breakfast next day was the best one we have had.The choice was fantastic.Although the rooms were not the plushest we have stayed in,it was clean and had little extras like fruit and biscuits and bathrobes. The staff were friendly and all in all we really enjoyed our stay!!!!We tried to book up again for New Years Eve this year but alas there are no rooms available. I would certainly stay again if we are in the area, can recommend it.A great start to the New Year!!!!!!

Overal a good stay. Family room was good. Seperate room with double for us and 2 seprate sofa beds for the kids in the living room. Also a selection of games and books to keep kids amused. Bathroom basic but no faults. Food very good but pricey. Use of adjacent health club a bonus, the swimming pool was perfect for the kids.

Loved every minute of our stay at the Gamekeeper's Inn. The rooms are good and the beds very comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The real highlight is the food. We had the best English breakfast that we have ever had in a hotel and the dinners were exquisite - the only trouble was that we were not there long enough to sample all of the menu. We will definately go back again.

“A Jewel in the Dales”

Gamekeeper's Inn

The Gamekeepers in really is one of the biggest bargains going. The food is Excellent and exceptional value for money. The hotel is clean, tidy and well presented and in a very nice picturesque location in the heart of the Dales. The staff are all polite and friendly. Good affordable hotels are hard to find but this is a real gem. If you are planning a relaxing break in the Dales this place needs to top of your list. We are very fussy about hotels and often disappointed but the Gamekeepers Inn was a very pleasant surprise and we will be going back. If you are going on a Sunday get there in time for the barbeque, unfortunately we had already eaten and are still kicking ourselves.
