Me and my dog returned from a 3 night stay at The Pines a couple of weeks ago and there is not one bad thing I can say about it. Cheryl was the most wonderful host, friendly, welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and most importantly for someone taking their furry friend with them, spoilt my dog rotten! He had a sausage for breakfast and the other 2 mornings there was always a tit bit brought out for him. The B&B itself was extremely pretty and immaculate! The room was clean and cosy and the bathroom sparkling! Tea, coffee and water was provided in the rooms as well as soap and cotton wool which i thought was a lovely touch. The location of the B&B was perfect, lovely walks right on the door step as well as being just a short drive from some main attractions such as Chatsworth and Stanage Edge. Cheryl provided information on the best places to visit as well as advising me on which walks were the best. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and presented and kept me full up until dinner time! I felt so welcomed here but the thing that topped it off for me was just how welcome my dog was and the fuss he recieved. As someone travelling by themselves its extremely important for dogs to be equally welcomed in the pubs also. the nearest pub, The Three Stags, is just a stones throw away and were just as friendly as The Pines. I have written them a seperate review so please view it. It is safe to say without a doubt that I will be going back to the Pines as soon as possible....simply perfect.
