Castlewood House

Castlewood was built as a B & B, and it shows. Room were clean and modern with a nice view of the bay. The breakfast dining room was very attractive. Terrific breakfast with ample choices.
Brian, one of the owner/hosts, was attentive to every request-booked tour and restuarants. His wife Helen was an excellent communicator before our stay.
Castlewood is well positioned on the outskirts of Dingle town center, It is either a short drive or longer walk into town.

There have been a few times we have arrived at a #1 Tripadvisor place with great reviews and wondered whether the owners write their own or the real writers are nuts or don't travel much.

This is definitely not one of those places. It is just as good as stated in the other reviews.

Excellent house, great rooms. It has the feel of a home but a really, really nice large home.

Brian and Helen are very pleasant. The food is wonderful.

Castlewood House is a terrific spot. The hosts, Helen and Brian are charming and helpful. The place is beautiful. The location is perfect and the food was the best. Helen and Brian are doing an amazing job for such a young couple, and with a delightful 2 year old son to manage beside running the house. Our family had 4 rooms, all different and yet all equally well put together. Can't wait to return.

What a fabulous b&b! I'd say that Castlewood House is a combo b&b/hotel: b&b treatment in a larger house, where you can chat with others or be as alone as you like.
Our stay here was just terrific. Wonderful, comfortable, clean, luxurious room, with just amazing views. So fantastic, I can hardly express it in words. The owners are also wonderful, kind people, very helpful, and great breakfast cooks! I usually don't judge a hotel/b&b on breakfast offerings, but let me tell you, this breakfast is a "can't miss!" So delicious, many great choices, and a great view from the breakfast room across the water to boot! Oh, what mornings.
Our room was also terrific. The owners gave us a free upgrade to a deluxe bay room since the house wasn't full, which we greatly appreciated and exemplifies ownership commitment to great service. Very, very comfortable bed, excellent luxurious bathroom with a whirlpool tub and separate shower, the room had everything we needed. Castlewood House also has a selection of DVDs you can view in your room.
Good location, just outside of Dingle town. About a 7-8 minute walk into town (I walk briskly), but a beautiful walk along the water. Also a great jumping off point for Slea Head drive (which takes you to probably the most beautiful place on earth).
I really just can't say enough good things about the Castlewood House. The owners, the room, the food, the house itself (sitting room with fireplace), the service, the view, the location... all superb!!!
