We spent one night at the Hillside House B&B in Kinsale. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful. The wife was golfing so we were greeted by the husband. He gave us his excellent "introductory speech" which suggested good pub food and sites to see that night. When Margaret returned, she greeted us and made sure that we had all the information we needed.
We enjoy reading in the sitting rooms of B&Bs. She made sure there was adequate heat and even provided throws for our comfort. There was a large sun room sitting area and a second more formal lounge off the dining room.
We were given a very small room by the husband. I am not sure why this was. It had a lovely balcony, but it was too cold and rainy to enjoy it. I wish we had had a larger room. That would have made the visit more enjoyable.
The breakfast was tasty and filling.
This B&B is high on a hill. You probably could walk to town in good weather, but the walk back would be an uphill climb.
