We spent 2 nights at "The Gallery". Tom was a remarkable host. He greeted us with a tour of the B & B and gave us a choice of rooms, All of which were clean and tastefully decorated with bathrooms en suite. The breakfasts were delicious and we got a nice range of choices. Tom aquainted us with the "best for your dollar " restaurants and they didn't let us down. Kinsale is a beautiful coastal town with lots to do and combined with our stay The Gallery , it made it all the better.
Thanks Tom ! Meg , Rich and family, New Jersey.

We stayed for 2 nights at The Gallery. It was definitely amazing. Tom is a great host. He helped us find budget friendly places to eat (though we couldn't get much more than bar food on our college student budget), drew us maps on how to get to beautiful sightseeing places around Kinsale, and served us great irish breakfasts!

The room was very cozy and clean. You could tell Tom was very proud of his establishment.

The location of The Gallery is great. Right down the street from all the restaurants and shops.

“Enjoyable stay at the Gallery”

The Gallery

We recently stayed for 4 nights at the Gallery B&B in Kinsale. When we arrived after a long journey we were greeted by Tom, the owner who advised us where to park our hire car (there is parking available at the rear of the property) and directed us to our room. The room was cosy and inviting with an en-suite bathroom, television and tea and coffee making facilities. Tom was very flexible and suggested breakfast at 10 am which was fine by us, as we were planning to venture out to a few local pubs that evening! The next morning we were greeted by Tom who handed us a varied breakfast menu. It was difficult to choose but during our stay I tried the full Irish breakfast and the ham and mushroom omelette, while my partner opted for the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. All were delicious and served with toast and soda bread as well as orange juice and a pot of tea or coffee.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gallery. The location is great, just a short walk to the pubs and restaurants. The B&B itself is very inviting yet quirky and the rooms were warm and clean. Tom was an excellent host. He was very helpful and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He even gave us a tune on his baby grand piano! We would definitely go back again.

We stayed at The Gallery for 4 evenings in March 2008. We were made very welcome by Tom and found him to be very friendly and informative about things to do and see.

We arrived late on saturday evening and were welcomed by Tom who showed us to our room, which included a demo on how to use the Sky TV! The room was nicely decorated and comfortable and it was nice and clean. The shower room was more than adequate with good hot water. The room was cleaned daily with fresh linen and towels and was well heated - this could be adjusted to suit, which was great.

Breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked and plentyful and there was a nice selection to choose from. Tom was very accomodating and kindly adjusted the time of breakfast to fit in with what we had planned. He also made recommendations for some restaurants and provided a guide book which was very useful as we hadn't visited this area of Ireland before.

Overall, we would recommend this B&B - we couldn't have been made more welcome.

“Swing While You Are Saying in 'The Gallery'”

The Gallery

We stayed in Tom O'Hare's 'The Gallery' for a short break in Kinsale. If you are interested in something different and relaxed then we recommend it highly. We made our arrangements directly with Tom who was friendly and accomodating throughout our brief stay. The room is fine, comfortable and warm. The location is great, within 5 minutes of all you need for a good stay in Kinsale. The above being said, what makes your stay is the house itself which reflects Tom's own sensibility (and his wife). It is a treasure trove of art and music, ranging from the 19th century to Jazz. The personalty of the house shines through, no more so then in the dining room where you are treated to something different for breakfast, surrounded by art and a baby grand piano, listening to Tom's own musical work. We loved it. We recommend a stay highly - and make sure you have a chat with Tom about music and art.

Best wishes to Tom and his wife.

Daniel and Sinead, Cork, Ireland.
