The Blue Horizon Bed and Breakfast IS a hotel on the beach. While the facilities were nice and clean, it was a hotel setting, not a b and b. It is WAY outside of Kinsale, my husband was sure we had made a wrong turn and was amazed and exhausted when we finally did find it - we thought it was IN Kinsale and it was dark and the roads to it were narrow and twisty. We did have a great experience at a pub in the closest town. When we awoke the view was marvelous!!

The Blue Horizon is outside of Kinsale - thankfully! While Kinsale itself is a lovely town, there is absolutely no parking even for those staying in town. It was far too busy for our tastes. The Blue Horizon, however, is set right on the ocean. The family that runs the B & B could not be more helpful. The rooms were bright and clean. The pub business really picks up later in the evening. There are two pubs nearby with good food. The breakfast served was a full Irish with variations available. The price given the location on the ocean is extremely reasonable at 105 Euros for a family of four. We would highly recommend staying at the Blue Horizon and would return again.
