We stayed here in January for a birthday celebration. We were a family of four, with two children aged 3 & 7. From the minute we pulled up at the door it was 5* service all the way. Check in took minutes, and we were escorted to our suite. And what a beautiful suite it was. There were two fold away beds for the children in the 'bedroom' and we still had ample space. The robe and slippers for the children was a big hit with our two who promptly changed into them. Lights, curtains, action...all powered by an electronic pad. My 3 year old loved the magic curtains. The bathroom was opulent in it's decor with double vanity area, separate toilet and shower room.
We met the rest of the family in the bar for drinks where service was prompt and professional.
The swimming pool was small and shallow and very simple in it's decor I felt, and the changing area was small too. I was kindly given a changing room by another family who were finished, otherwise we had to make do with a bench, not really in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
Dinner that evening was wonderful. Fresh fish fingers/chicken for the children and proper chunky chips, no frozen stuff here. The adults were equally happy with their meals, we were a party of 12 for dinner, and the service was excellent. We had one waitress asigned to our table who did a marvellous job. Outside in the foyer, a pianist entertained us with mellow tunes to which my daughter gave an impromptu ballet recital!
Breakfast the following morning, after a very comfortable night, was the best I have had. Have the hot chocolate which is made with milk and devilish cream! Everything in abundence, pastries, sliced meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurts. I ordered the poached eggs, which I could easily have had seconds of. Service again very good, no waiting around.
The only bad thing...was checking out. Weekend over, back to reality!
