My wife and I have been repeat guests at Dunaree. We love the warm, accommodating hospitality shown to us by the O'Connor family and the excellent location. Penny is a great hostess and has made reservations for us at local attractions as well as helped us with other reservations at B&Bs around Ireland. The rooms at Dunaree are well furnished and spotless clean and the breakfasts are outstanding. If you are in the Shannon area we highly recommend a stay at Dunaree.

I agree that Penny is a great host and the house is well located and very pretty and clean BUT what about the noise? Don't stay here if you want peace and quiet and a good night's sleep. The telephone rings throughout the whole house for everybody to hear morning, day and night, the floor boards creek, the walls are paper thin and the family who own the house do not have separate living quarters. It's like sharing a house with a host family as opposed to a guesthouse set-up. There are plenty of other guesthouses along this road which are much more professional and quiet!

Dunaree is beautuful and the O'Connors are very nice. Peggy loaned us umbrellas for our walk to the castle as it was raining very hard when we arrived. My friend and I stayed there one night at the beginning of our trip and our last night too. We did not have a problem with the fact that it was their home. We stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs of the house.
Also, as we arrived early in the morning, she allowed us to use here sitting room for a few hours and then we were able to check in at 11am.

nice,clean, quiet location with easy parking.Penny even had food for us to eat before the normal 8am breakfast as we had an early departure.
