We spent one night with Joan and her family and it was a highlight of our trip. The room that we stayed in was absolutely spotless! Not one stain, odor, or imperfection to be seen at all. She communicated with us in great detail before our arrival through email and gave us wonderful directions that brought us right to her. The trip to the Aran Islands that she recommended to us was one of our favorite experiences. Her breakfast included whole fresh fruit, individual yogurts, multiple cereals, and wonderful main dishes. It was very important to us to be within walking distance to the pubs in the evening and she is only about 2 blocks to 3 different pubs and a few restaurants and about 10 minutes walk, though it is straight down the road, well-lit and has side walks, to O'Connors which was our favorite pub. There is also a great little pizza place a block from her home, that was the perfect treat coming from Chicago! We stayed in one other B&B in Doolin and several in the rest of Ireland and I can confidently say that Dubhlinn House was at the very top for excellence. Also, Dubhlinn House is priced extremely reasonably, and much less expensive, for all that you get! I can't recommend Joan and her wonderful home enough!

My wife, my daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Dubhlinn House on the first night of our very first visit to Ireland. It could not have been more delightful! The owners, Joan and Martin, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and they were very helpful, both before and during our stay, with maps, directions and sightseeing tips. The location of the B&B is ideal, since it is within easy walking distance of two of the more popular pups offering authentic Irish music. Our triple room was bright, clean and beautifully decorated, and our delicious, made-to order breakfast included warm, freshly-baked Irish bread. As an added treat, we joined in the birthday celebration for Martin and Joan's daughter, Claire. On our next trip to Ireland, the Dubhlinn House will be at the top of our itinerary.

We stayed at Dubhlinn House on our first night in Ireland.

Our hosts, Joan and Martin Reilly, could not have been more friendly, helpful or welcoming. We came away feeling like we made friends.

The house was bright and neat, the rooms quiet and comfortable. There were several options for breakfast; the dishes we tried were quite tasty.

Our hosts went out of their way to help us book a boat tour of the nearby Cliffs of Moher, and they seemed genuinely interested in helping to make our visit to their country as enjoyable as possible.

If we ever return to the Emerald Isle, we're sure to be back at Dubhlinn House.

We had a great time staying in Doolin at The Dubhlinn House. Martin and Joan are friendly and warm people. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent and made to order. I tried to make the same porridge (Irish oatmeal) when I returned home that Joan and Martin made for us during our stay at Dubhlinn House, but mine just didn't taste the same! Nice selection of breakfast items. Martin and Joan were helpful and accommodating. The B & B is centrally located to shops, pubs and the bus stop. Martin suggested a great pub for dinner and music. His brother plays in an traditional Irish band at the Pub, so we ate there and listened to some good Irish music! So, if we are ever in Doolin again, we would definitely stay at The Dubhlinn House. Great people in a beautiful town. "You're in your Auntie's" (house)

Dubhlinn House was a sparkling clean, charming B&B in a perfect location in lower Doolin. Martin and Joan were very helpful, offered wonderful suggestions, and our stay was very comfortable.
