We have made 7 trips to Ireland in the past 7 years, each one averaging 15 days. Three years ago, we were lucky enough to stay at Dubhlinn House in Doolin, located on the Atlantic Ocean. Dubhlinn House is a leisurely drive from Shannon Airport. Joan & Martin Reilly's website is very detailed, providing excellent directions and a photo gallery for potential guests. Because of our wonderful experience in 2006, we have decided to begin our travels each year since then with a 3 or 4 night stay at Dubhlinn House. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is peaceful and quiet. The breakfast menu has a wide variety of choices, impeccably prepared and beautifully presented. We agree that they serve the "best Irish breakfast in the country." Our hosts were always willing to advise us about nearby tourist attractions and spectacular photographic opportunities. Especially valuable assets of Dubhlinn House are the proximity to Inisheer Island (the smallest Aran Island), the unique topography of the Burren and Atlantic seacoast, and the opportunity to take an afternoon cruise along the base of the Cliffs of Moher. Joan and Martin Reilly are the most welcoming, gracious, and helpful Irish hosts one could ever hope to meet. Arrive feeling like guests, depart feeling like family.

Accommodating and knowledgeable hosts. Free WIFI. No problem with hot water or water pressure. Waking distance to 3 pubs in town.

Dubhlinn House is in a lovely location in Doolin only a short walk from all the pubs and shops. Doolin seems to be a town for singles young adults. Boisterous pubs and hostels. Rooms were small, but clean and well maintained. The shower was exceptionally tiny and low. Owners Joan and Martin are very knowledgeable about County Clare.

Very charming home, within walking distance to the Pubs, and the owners are wonderful. Everything was perfect for us. We only stayed one night on our 7 day holiday around Ireland. We had flown into Shannon Airport, rented a car and drove to the Cliff's of Moher and then onto our stay in Doolin. We walked to the 3 local pubs and enjoyed the guinness, dinner and the live music. We left early the following morning with a drive around the burren before heading to our next destination.

“CHARMING B&B IN DOOLIN, IRELAND”

BEST B&B IN THE WEST OF DUBLIN, IRELAND

Our first night in Ireland on May 25, 2008 was at the Dubhlinn House in Doolin. It was our favorite B&B of our entire trip because: the hosts are genuine and warm; the location excellent (nearby Cliffs of Mohr), shopping in town close and charming, restaurants excellent and best of all the breakfast choices offered by the Reilly's was perfect. Wish we had stayed longer in that area and at the Dubhlinn House.
